Richard E Salazar II

 

Growing up between the deserts of Arizona and the beaches of southern California, Richard has had a passion for recreating the beauty around him. He became especially transfixed in his youth by the ‘Old Masters’ style of the Renaissance artists. 

 

Richard studied art in Santa Fe, New Mexico and pursued further research into the centuries-old  masters techniques. Working in oils, Richard relies on a limited color palette and layering techniques. His charcoal work helps to refine his oils even further by acting as studies of light and shadow in monotone. 

 

Now residing in Southern California with his wife & children, Richard has been blessed with the opportunity to take his work further into the world. His dedication over the past decade shows in his ability to capture and reproduce the vibrancy and intimacy of perspective. 

 

Richard considers all his work devotional, as representations of God’s divine masterpiece.
